Oral Questions to the Education Minister takes place in the Senedd chamber once a month on Wednesday afternoons. Assembly Members often ask questions in relation to HE, schools and lifelong learning policy. Questions are submitted a fortnight in advance, though Assembly Members have the opportunity to ask follow up or supplementary questions relating to the topic of the initial question.
The National Assembly has specific debates in relation to higher education policy from time to time. These may coincide with the launch of a new policy document or relate to a particular development in Wales. These debates take place during the plenary meetings in the Senedd chamber in Cardiff Bay. The verbatim reports (the Record of Proceedings) from those meetings are produced within 24 hours and placed on the National Assembly for Wales website.
