Higher Education Wales (HEW) aims to deliver its mission by:

  • providing an expert resource on all aspects of Welsh higher education
  • promoting and supporting higher education in Wales
  • representing the interests of its members
  • negotiating on behalf of Welsh higher education

HEW represents the interests of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Wales and is a National Council of Universities UK. HEW’s Governing Council consists of the Vice-Chancellors of all universities in Wales. The HEW office is located in Cardiff Bay.
